Happy New Year, from KDR Media
Ah…2013. We say goodbye to a year that included much happiness and pain, saw many firsts and broke many records. 2013 saw a 2.6 mile wide tornado to a rare May snow storm that affected the central United States from Arkansas to Minnesota. Egypt saw snow for the first time in 112 years and Typhoon Haiyan was the most powerful tropical storm to ever make landfall with sustained wind-speeds of 303 kilometers per hour or 192.63 mph. Shanghai reached 40.6 degrees Celsius, (105.08 degrees Fahrenheit) the highest ever temperature recorded in 140 years. 2013 was definitely a year of record-breaking incidents across the world.
So what will be new for 2014? Well, we aren’t going away…in fact, KDR Media will become KDR Media, LLC in 2014. Applications have been submitted and the process is in the works. New KDR Media branded products will be available for sale. And of course, the KDR Media chasers are dreaming of tornadoes and supercells spinning like tops in open fields, waiting for the start of storm season, their “SDS” officially in full swing.
Before the clock strikes midnight, I would like to thank all of the KDR Media chasers for their contributions, passion and drive. Your footage is what makes KDR Media what it is and I’m excited as to what the “New Year” will bring. I would like to thank KDR Media – Media Specialists, Mike Brady and Joe Quinn for their hard work and help throughout the year. I couldn’t have done it without your help.
Here is to a SAFE, healthy and Happy New Year…to all! May 2014 be everything you want it to be!
